LSP Technologies recently held a food drive for their 2017 charitable partner, Mid-Ohio Food Bank. Employees worked together over the week-long effort to collect nearly 1,000 food and personal hygiene items for donation.
To highlight the successful effort, LSPT President and CEO Dr. Jeff Dulaney agreed to take a pie in the face from the employee who contributed the most items during the week. LSPT Supply Chain Coordinator Diana Krepp won the honor by generously donating over 100 items, and was rewarded with an opportunity most employees only dream of:
“This event has been more successful than I ever imagined,” said HR Coordinator Kayla Krocker. “Everyone at LSPT really stepped up, and we’re very happy to contribute to a community organization that serves needy families in Central Ohio.”
Mid-Ohio Foodbank provides food to hundreds of thousands of hungry Ohioans each year by partnering with more than 650 community partners in central and eastern Ohio, including food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, senior centers, and after-school programs. Mid-Ohio Foodbank is a member of Feeding America. For more information or to donate, advocate, and/or volunteer visit www.midohiofoodbank.org.
LSPT plans to do more work with the Food Bank throughout the year, including spending a day volunteering at their Columbus-area facility. The team effort accumulated more than 800 pounds of items, not including one graham cracker whipped cream pie.
